President YarAdua and his supporters must realize however, that, so much transpired while his absence from presidential duties persisted. Nigerians must get away and get out from the mindsets which allow some Nigerians accept discrimination as something Nigerians and Nigeria have earned and deserves! Nigeria is as imperfect as other nations of the world.

The attitude of government playing lip service to the problem of climate change must end now. There is the need for them to take bold steps to tackle this problem - it is real. Whereas, decisive steps to remedy whatever problem the challenge is posing or may pose to our nation ought to receive some workable attention as it were. The policy of government must address this issue without holding back; otherwise, all will suffer.

However much we try to forget about Nigeria and its many problems, some of us are incurably Nigerian that wherever we are, we would always remain Nigerian. That said I know that it is not the same for everyone as there are many who actually reside in Nigeria but would rather not, especially because of its numerous and varied problems. The truth is that no country of the world is without its own problems, the difference is in how each country is dealing with and resolving its problems.

The recent events or, better still, the current drama at the corridor of powers of the Nigerian government call for a critical examination of the interest that our president is intending to serve, either with his actions or inaction. Is he serving the interests of Nigeria, himself or members of his kitchen cabinet who are probably benefiting from his continued absence from Abuja the seat of power?
