It is doubtful if he will emerge as PDP Presidential Candidate going by the threats of some Niger Delta leaders like Chiefs Edwin Clark and Albert Horsfall daring the Northerners for the post in provocative postures. It is a fact that PDP governors who did not accord respect to Jonathan when he was Vice President and while acting as commander-in-chief during Yar’Adua’s hospitalisation are not likely to endorse his candidature for the election.

I have consoled myself to see the qualification as success in itself. I’m just gonna enjoy the world cup as if Nigeria isn't participating so that I can have my heart intact to enjoy the game for the good of the game.

When the idea of this article came to me, I wanted to title it "The Danger Of President Jonathan 2011" but l chose a more subtle title "The Implication of president Jonathan 2011". Recently, there have been numerous comments, articles and calls urging President Jonathan to contest the 2011 elections. Even within the Ruling PDP there are very strong movement for Jonathan 2011. This movement is so powerful that it consumed the ex while Chairman of the party Chief Vincent Ogbulafor, due the comment he made about the North retaining the presidency next year to complete their second term of four years.

More than 44 years ago, the first violent takeover of our government took place in Nigeria. During the past 44 years of spectacle dis-achievements, the nation’s democracy was systematically dismantled, her fragile unity as a nation was stampeded, her petro-naira and British built infrastructures were left in shambles and in some cases completely destroyed.
