» To the Leaders of G-8 Nations and their African Counterparts:
By Emakoji Ayikoye | Published 06/5/2010 | International Politics | Unrated

To avert any possibility of terrorists infiltrating into Africa and making it a breeding ground for terrorists, I ask all African leaders to now address our poverty rather than impoverish our people through their thievery, looting and corruption. I also ask the West and the leaders of G-8 nations to take the issue of African poverty very seriously. Tackling Africa’s poverty and providing opportunities for Africans at home is a powerful way to fight against the possibility of any kind of terrorism movement in the continent. If Africa continues to be neglected and suppressed, there is no way the level of poverty there would not eventually attract terrorist recruitment there.

» The Israeli-Palestine Crisis: What is right?
By Kayode Oladele | Published 10/27/2009 | International Politics | Unrated
Ironically, many people often view the Israeli-Palestinian crisis through the lenses of religion-Islam versus Christianity. What they fail to realise is that Israeli Zionism is not related to or synonymous with Christianity: Zionism is a political ideology and movement that originally supported the reestablishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in the Palestine. However, there are more Palestinian Christians than there are Israeli Christians. True, Jesus was a Jew, but most Jews are not Christians.
» African Leaders At The UN summit.

In a land filled with milk and honey, is it any wonder that Africans are suffering? Is it any wonder that the continent remains underdeveloped? When it matters, our leaders are found wanting. They can afford to sleep when important decisions are made at important international summits.
