REBUTTAL - ATTACK ON AFRICAN MARRIAGES BY WESTERNIZED AFRICAN WOMEN
When I read the article written by Ozodi Osuji, I was perplexed and flabbergasted by its content. The attempt to connect African women to ills of our society was woeful. And while many may not want to refute these allegations in fear of being tagged as a bad woman, I feel the need to defend African women. First of all, he failed to provide information on the way of life by our ancestors before us. Let me remind us.

ATTACK ON AFRICAN MARRIAGES BY WESTERNIZED AFRICAN WOMEN
This article looks at the phenomenon of African women living in the Western world copying the worst of Western women’s behaviors. It equates radical feminism with the destruction of the Western family and says that the African family would also be destroyed if African women mindlessly copy radical Western women’s efforts to destroy their men for the historic injustice they believe that their men did to them.

Black Women and White Men and the Question of Marriage
There are enclaves where interracial relationships are still frowned upon. But by and large, this phenomenon is on the upward trend: becoming common around the world -- especially in Europe, Canada, and the United States. A cursory look suggests that interaciality has a longer history of acceptance in Western Europe than in the United States. And when aggregated, interracial liaisons seem less common and less celebrated in societies that are considered conservative, dutifully religious, and politically closed.

THE CHALLENGE OF EARLY MARRIAGE ON THE GIRL CHILD: By Rita Gonyok
The Girl Child marriage is becoming too rampant today in spite of the campaign launched against it in different quarters by the Civil Liberty Organizations, the NGOs and a host of other humanitarian groups. The legal minimum age for marriage under a number of ratified laws is 18. In spite of this legal provision, child marriage is still widely practiced in some parts of the world. In Nigeria, the cases of child marriage are very much ubiquitous in the northern part of the country. Early marriage is a violation of childʼs right which must be put to an end.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION: PART 4
Within the last twenty years, major advances have been made in the development of effective treatments for erectile dysfunction. Oral therapy is now established as the mainstay of treatment and new treatments continue to emerge following the availability of sildenafil ( viagra) in 1998. Prior to that, self injection therapies, various devices such penile implants, vacuum devices, inflatable penile prosthesis, and vascular reconstructive surgery to improve penile blood flow, were the treatment options for men with erectile dysfunction.

Sexual Intercourse is Beautiful and Beneficial
Sexual Intercourse is not just the insertion of a man's erect penis into a women's vagina. Along with the pleasure, there are many benefits of sexual intercourse and relationship. Sex when responsibly engaged in, it is an act everyone ought to enjoy and celebrate. The wrong notions about sex and sexual relationships are commonly associated with medical research on sex, which put most of the attention on sexually transmitted disease and sexual dysfunction.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION PART 3
In part 2 of this discussion, we discussed the mechanism of penile erection which clearly showed the importance of proper blood circulation in and around the penis. Brain and nerve function which affects the blood vessels for them to work properly to move blood in and out of the penis are very critical. The movement of blood into the penis is as important as the movement of blood out. If the blood remains trapped for too long in the penis, another problem develops.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION: Part 2
In part 1 of this series on Erectile Dysfunction, ED, we left off at the conditions which cause erectile dysfunction. In the past, many believed that erectile dysfunction was mostly caused by psychological and emotional problems and many patients did not want their problems known for good reason. People used to think that it was all in the mind---"itʼs in your head." Many men suffered in silence and in the uncivilized world men resorted to all kinds of treatments from herbalists

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION (Part 1)
Erectile dysfunction or ED which used to be called Impotence, is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection suitable for the completion of sexual intercourse. Some experts do not like the use of the term “impotence” because it lacks precise meaning and has negative implications. The term “ Erectile dysfunction” is now used and the new definition removes the emphasis on intercourse as the only aspect sexual life.

THE POWER OF WORDS AND THEN CHOICES
Communication is very important in relationships, especially in marriages. Lack of healthy communication can kill a marriage. In the Nigerian communities lack of respectful communication continues to wreak havoc. There are cultural overtones involved, as women are not expected to speak openly and freely among men. This creates problems in the on-line chat rooms where women do not participate much.

TILL DEATH DO US PART AND THEN SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON.
A tribute to my parents who will celebrate their annivesary on Christmas Eve. Watching my parents, Joseph and Mercy Odunukwe at the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary, I couldn't help but grasp the full meaning of the phrase----- till death do us part. There we have these two, who have been around each other for so long that they can read each other's body language and most probably mind. At ninety three years old at the anniversary celebration my father looked sharp in his suit.

Divorce in the Nigerian and West African Immigrant Communities in the United States
Divorce is universal, meaning that divorce happens all over the world. Even in Biblical times, divorce was around and Jesus himself answered questions on the subject. Why then has divorce taken a whole new angle in the new immigrant communities in the United States? In the African immigrant communities, especially West African and more specifically Nigerian, the divorce rates have escalated and so have spousal abuse and homicides.

MEDITATION ON LOVE AND SIN
This essay looks at the nature of love and sin. It concludes that to sin is to not love ones self and not love other people. To sin is to separate from ones real self and to separate from other peoples real selves. Our real selves are in spirit joined, united. On earth we are separated from each other. In eternity we are unified with each other. To be in union is to love whereas to live in our present separated ego states is to sin.

Marriage and Sex, Sex and Marriage
But in spite of the gradual transformation of the Nigerian men, some still treat women of different color and background differently. A typical Nigerian living in the western world still does not bring his woman roses and cards, he still does not give her hand-written love notes, he still does not take her for evening or morning walks, and he still does not give her backrub or full body massage. Kai, God forbid she asks him to suck on her toes.

For Obasanjo, the gods are to blame
I have chosen to believe Gbenga’s story that his father slept with his wife. It has always been my imagination for Obasanjo to reap the fruit of his labour. I want this man to suffer like he has made Nigerians suffered. Even if the allegation is false, the fact that his own son accused him of incest is a testimony that the gods are angry with him. Let Alake and his chiefs stay clear in order for me to enjoy this tragic-comedy. I know I am sounding like a sadist but, suppose the accusation is true, what will then happen to Obasanjo since the Yoruba normally ostracize and socially sanction incest participants?

May-December Relationships: Is It Love or Infatuation?
May-December relationship: the term is assigned to a relationship where one person is considerably older than the other. It is generally acceptable if the age difference is ten years or less; but where the difference is more than ten years, such a relationship is considered May-December: the younger person being in the “spring” of his or her life (i.e., May), while the older half is in his or her “winter” (i.e., December).

Learning from Women
Take the beautiful life of Aka Pygmy for example. Aka Pygmy men of Central Africa without any loss of status, cook while their women hunt and decide where to set up the next camp. According to Prof Barry Hewlett, an American anthropologist, breast feeding is common among Aka fathers who are within reach of their infants 47% of the time. Like Aka men, yours truly is learning fast. Now I can change diaper while babysitting, feed my boy without choking him etc.

The Rape of our College Girls
Dress code is an attack on their gender intellect as long as the same dress code does not apply to male students. It’s a slap on their freedom of expression as long as their male counterparts have not been accused of dressing in a "kinky" manner that distracts female teachers. Such promulgation is unnecessary, and it further testifies to the domination of male adult policy makers over their helpless female students.

STILL ON ONE MAN FOUR WIVES
It is not only Islam that recognizes polygamy, other cultures and religions also promote it. We should not forget the biblical King Solomon and David who were polygamous. Around the world too, there are local chiefs, traditional rulers and religious leaders, including Christians especially Aladuras that have more than one wife. Some highly celebrated Nigerians from the Southern Nigeria are also polygamous like former President Olusegun Obasanjo, billionaire-politician MKO Abiola, and born-again Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya.

An Indecent Conversation
“I really believe that women are wicked, yes, I really do” “Why do you say that?” “Na wa for you o, look around you, can’t you see what they are doing to us?” “What we are doing to ourselves you mean” “Keep on pretending, I’m more angry because they have never bothered to enquire how we are faring seeing that we live in the most challenging age to be a man”

Where Love Has Gone
Who would have thought that the Okekes were living a lie? Okey and Ijeoma would pass as your quintessential power couple and everybody’s dream pair. They were the couple every other person talked about, the type that would be up there in your wish list assuming you were planning a party and wanted some ‘be seen with me and improve your image’ type of couple in the Nigerian standard to grace your event. Their 15 - year marriage was blessed with 2 lovely boys and a set of twin girls.

Valentine’s Day…Still Looking for Love
It took me forever to buy flowers for women. Damn! You spend fifty dollars on flowers, four days later they shrivel and dry out and die. It also cost a little fortune to buy cards and flowers and chocolate and a decent bottle of wine. You do all these just for the end game? I’d rather just go to the end game (which is quick and better and without all the fanfare).

Hungarian Women Seeking African Men & Vice-Versa

This woman is determined to teach you a lesson. She wants to show that although she was your ex, there remains a thin line between the daughter of a former slave owner and the son of a former slave. She may deny it but it is obvious she passionately believes you are one of her personal possessions.

The Cheat In All Of Us
All over Nigeria, the beans are being spilled on the sordid past and present of Nigeria's politicians and government officials, perhaps opening their can of worms has become a national past time. Since Omoyele Sowore and Jonathan Elendu pioneered the art of crusading against corrupt government officials on the internet, many others have joined what appears now to be the hottest bandwagon since Chris Okotie and Jide Obi released their debut albums in the eighties which opened the floodgates for the likes of Felix Liberty, Yvonne Maha and the likes to enter.

SPECIAL AND HOLY RELATIONSHIPS (Relationships based on inequality and equality)
In special relationships members are motivated to seem superior to one another and make special arrangements whereby each accepts the others disguised sense of superiority. These are the relationships of this world, be they marriages or any other kind of human relationships; they are disastrous relationships. Special relationships are filled with guilt, fear, anger, anxiety, depression, paranoia etc. The goal is to transform special relationships into Holy Relationships; relationships that give folks feelings that they are joined and are one hence give them attenuated (some) peace and happiness.
