What A course in miracles is teaching is really simple; it asks one not to respond from ones ego ideal perspective for such response leads to anger and fear; that, instead, one should respond from love and forgiveness so as not to feel fear and anger, to feel peace and joy.

This paper says that we do not respond to things as they are but as we think that they are. In effect, we are responding to our perception of things. The question is: what are things in themselves and can we ever know?

Is the idea that the world is in our minds, that we projected out this world possibly true or just an idle thought?

The desire for a false important self to mask perceived unimportant self is the root of all mental disorders. Mental health lies in having no false, special self that one defends and protects with the various ego defenses. This does not lead to having no self but to having a realistic self, a self guided by love; to have no ego separated self at all is to return to undifferentiated unified spirit self.

In spirit we are always perfect; in body we are always imperfect; life in body is meant to be the opposite of spirit hence must be imperfect. However, because we came from a place of perfection we cannot accept imperfection and seek to make our earthly selves and world perfect. But no matter what we do the earthly self and its world cannot become perfect for they were meant to be the opposite of perfection.

This article says that the recent spate of kidnapping for money going on in Nigeria is a reversion to Nigerians historic behavior of kidnapping and selling their people into slavery. It says that the people have reverted to type, to their past behaviors of selling their people. The paper concludes by saying that we must address the amorality and criminality that characterizes Nigerian culture and society rather than collude with Nigerians and blame other persons for their fate.

There is something about Mr. Barrack Obama that makes me to hate him; I am not quite sure what that is. All I know is that I do not feel comfortable with the man; I do not like his half-hearted policies, either. I wish that he is replaced by more steady, known liberal politicians.
